Each year, the Foundation hosts its signature Bocce Ball Tournament—our largest and most anticipated fundraising event. Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $750,000 in support for our mission. The 2026 Bocce Tournament alone raised more than $55,000.

The all-day event is held at Campo di Bocce in Los Gatos and brings together major sponsors and up to 48 teams. Teams consist of 4–6 players, and each participant receives a commemorative event T-shirt. Teams are placed into brackets and compete in multiple matches throughout the day, with top teams advancing to late-afternoon finals to determine the annual 19 for Life champion.

Designed as a family-friendly experience, the tournament features morning appetizers, lunch, a silent auction, and raffle prizes throughout the day. The Bocce Ball Tournament was inspired in part by DJ’s time at Santa Clara University, where the house he lived in had a bocce ball court—planting the seed for what has become this beloved annual tradition.

“19 for Life” is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID #26-1613428). All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. For tax purposes, the estimated fair market value of the event is $75 per person.
